who we are

We are friends who have come together to establish a new charity

We are a group of friends brought together by a shared heritage, a shared concern, and a shared belief that communities thrive when they are supported with the right knowledge and resources.
Our grandparents were farmers. Their lives were shaped by the land, the seasons, and the seeds they saved and shared from one generation to the next. Farming was never just about food—it was about resilience, community, and survival.
In recent years, crops in Kashmir have failed due to a lack of rainfall and increasing environmental pressure. Families who have farmed the same land for generations are facing uncertainty, not because of a lack of skill or effort, but because traditional crops are no longer suited to changing conditions.
We saw this not as an isolated issue—but as a warning shared by farming communities across the world. With an endless supply of seeds from an initial investment, we can empower communities for generations to come!

How it works

Image

We all donate to get seed banks established

Image

Seed banks then loan seeds for sowing

Image

The Farmer then gives back a percentage of seeds on harvest

Image

These seeds are then given to another farmer to grow

The Seeds Project FAQs
We send money for charity where food is purchased, distributed, and consumed over a short period of time, but the money does not last, or help alleviate the longer-term problem of sustaining a food source.
Many charities focus on short-term aid. We focus on long-term resilience. Instead of distributing one-off resources, we help communities build self-sustaining seed systems. We feel that alot can be achieved through education, knowledge, and by adapting existing practices, finding new food sources, with alternative ways of producing and growing our food
Food aid is essential in emergencies, but it doesn’t solve the root problem. A single seed can feed a family for years. A shared seed bank can support generations.
No. We work alongside traditional farming practices. Strengthen existing crops using more resilient varieties and only introduce complementary alternative crops where traditional ones struggle

Why you should Back Our Campaign

Image

Because this is not about charity alone — it’s about lasting change.Across the world, farming communities are facing crop failure, water scarcity, and climate pressure. Traditional support models often provide short-term relief, but leave communities dependent and vulnerable once funding ends.
